What is the difference in this situation between what he did and what I did?

I used the TMNT to fight something that was not the real Shredder, and he used something that was not the real Foot to defest them.

It's the same fucking principal.

No, false analogy. If I had used the "real" Foot Clan to defeat something that was not the "real" Ninja Turtles (e.g. a baby tortoise), THEN it would have been the same principle.

I think the key here is focusing in on the essential nature of the previous hero, finding what it is that defeats said essential quality, and THEN putting a creative spin on it. Saying that Barb Wire's power is shredding is tangential at best. Something like "The Illegal Alien", where perhaps the character was a space alien specializing in border crossing might have been less objectionable to my fellow Bayou Battlers.

Tangential?
He explicitly said in the description that Barb Wire's power was shredding pelts.

And I do see your point. But nobody had a problem when Steve Irwin was used to fight Snakes on a Plane. Steve Irwin is most known for his expertise in subduing reptiles. Nobody complained when he was utilized for exactly that.
TMNT are most known for battling the Shredder.

So, I guess what I'm saying here is that I have no problem with working harder to find the less obvious Battler, but I only ask that others do the same.

Much love to the Bayou.
